Christian El-Khouri

Christian El-Khouri advises hospitals, government bodies, regional clusters and startups on the treatment of international patients. He is the second generation of the El-Khouri family at MESC, the consultancy his father founded in 1983, and built and led the firm's consulting division after joining its management.

His view of the field was formed operationally rather than theoretically. MESC handled the entire international patient operation of the Deutsche Klinik für Diagnostik in Wiesbaden for more than two decades, and the questions that preoccupy him now (how referral chains distort what a patient actually asked for, why continuity of care so rarely survives the flight home, what separates a destination with a strategy from one with a brochure) are the ones that surfaced at the bedside first.

He writes frequently on patient referral, healthcare compliance and destination development, and speaks internationally on the same subjects, from Saudi Arabia to South Korea.
